Brushstroke & Beyond: FICCI FLO Jaipur Revives the Timeless Beauty of Pichwai Art
Celebrating Rajasthan’s rich artistic heritage, FICCI FLO Jaipur, in collaboration with ICA Art Gallery, organized the unique "Brushstroke & Beyond" Pichwai Art Workshop. The creative initiative offered members a rare opportunity to explore the elegance of Pichwai Art, learn its intricate techniques, and experience the joy of creating traditional masterpieces with their own hands.
Ananya soch: Keeping India's traditional art forms alive through meaningful experiences, FICCI FLO Jaipur successfully hosted the "Brushstroke & Beyond" Pichwai Art Workshop in association with ICA Art Gallery. The workshop was designed to introduce participants to the centuries-old Pichwai Painting tradition while encouraging creativity through hands-on artistic learning.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from FICCI FLO Jaipur members, who explored the history, symbolism, and fine detailing of Pichwai Art under the guidance of an experienced artist. Participants learned about traditional motifs, vibrant color palettes, and delicate brush techniques before bringing their own artistic interpretations to life on canvas. The workshop transformed into an inspiring blend of culture, creativity, and self-expression.
Speaking on the occasion, FICCI FLO Jaipur Chairperson (2026-27) Vrinda Kothari emphasized the importance of preserving India's traditional art forms. She said that experiential workshops like these not only nurture creativity but also help members reconnect with the country's rich cultural heritage. According to her, promoting indigenous art is essential to passing India's artistic legacy on to future generations.
A special exhibition showcasing the artworks created by participants added another highlight to the event. The beautifully crafted Pichwai Paintings reflected both tradition and individual creativity. A Best Painting Award was also presented, making the experience even more memorable. Participants described the workshop as an enriching journey that allowed them to learn, create, and celebrate Indian heritage through art.
The successful execution of the event was made possible through the dedicated efforts of Nidhi Bairathi and Pooja Bajoria, whose planning and coordination ensured a seamless experience for everyone involved.
