The director was on the lookout for an actor who could speak pure Hindi while also nailing a distinct natural accent — a rare combination of both skills. While several candidates struggled to pull off this balance, Vanshika's simplicity and clear Hindi diction instantly caught Kunal's eye.

Intrigued by what he saw, Kunal Khemu specifically asked Mukesh to conduct a separate audition for Vanshika.
