Organised by Rajesh Sharma and Satendra Singh of the city's cultural institution The Kala Manch, 'Ghazalnama: Ghazal Evam Geet Ki Sangeet Sandhya' was held on Sunday evening at Maharana Pratap Auditorium, Vidyashram. The musical evening began at quarter past six and continued till quarter past eight, keeping the audience completely absorbed for the entire two hours. Everyone present that evening stood as proof that Jaipur still holds a deep appreciation for true ghazal music.
Jasvinder Singh Honoured With a Prestigious Music Award
The most emotional and memorable moment of the evening came when Mumbai-based ghazal maestro and playback singer Jasvinder Singh was honoured with the 'Legendary Musician and Ghazal Samrat Madan Mohan Award-2026'. The honour was presented to him by Padma Bhushan, Padma Shri and Grammy Award-winning musician Vishwa Mohan Bhatt. As the moment unfolded, the entire auditorium erupted into applause. Organisers Rajesh Sharma and Satendra Singh were also present on stage during this special occasion, sharing in the celebration of the achievement.
