All Set for IPL 2026: Jaipur Gears Up with High-Tech Safety, Human-Centric Planning & Zero-Compromise Protocols
District Collector mandates strict compliance with Human Rights Commission guidelines, disaster management norms, and comprehensive safety arrangements at SMS Stadium
Ananya soch: As excitement builds for IPL 2026, Jaipur’s administration has shifted into high-alert mode, ensuring world-class arrangements for a safe and seamless sporting spectacle. District Collector Sandesh Nayak conducted a detailed inspection of the SMS Stadium and chaired a high-level review meeting with key departments, emphasizing strict adherence to guidelines issued by the Rajasthan State Human Rights Commission, along with provisions of the Disaster Management Act, 2005.
During the review, officials from the Rajasthan State Sports Council, IPL organizers, Public Works Department, Fire Services, and other agencies were directed to complete all safety checks and operational arrangements well before the event. The Collector made it clear that preparedness and coordination would be critical to the event’s success.
Health, Safety & Infrastructure Take Center Stage
Authorities have been instructed to deploy fully equipped ambulances and trained medical teams within the stadium. Multiple medical kiosks will be set up, alongside ensuring uninterrupted power supply and high standards of cleanliness. Stringent security protocols, including thorough frisking of spectators, have also been mandated. Additionally, adequate fire-fighting vehicles and modern equipment will be stationed at the venue.
Inclusive & Accessible Arrangements for All
Special focus has been placed on ensuring accessibility and comfort for senior citizens, women, children, and persons with disabilities. Dedicated ramps, special seating access, and accessible sanitation facilities will be arranged to create an inclusive environment for every attendee.
Emergency Preparedness & Heat Management
A robust evacuation plan is being developed to safeguard spectators and players during emergencies. Fire-retardant measures for flammable materials and free drinking water facilities have been mandated, keeping in mind the rising summer temperatures.
Food safety officials have been directed to strictly monitor the quality and hygiene of food served during matches, including temporary kitchen setups.
With such comprehensive planning, Jaipur is set to host IPL 2026 not just as a grand event, but as a benchmark in safety, inclusivity, and efficient management.
