Acting on specific intelligence inputs, the RTO First team seized 20 trucks and 2 buses operating without clearing mandatory road tax dues.
The operation was conducted under the leadership of DTO Ramesh Pandey, with four dedicated teams working in coordination. Officials revealed that these vehicles were allegedly being prepared for resale by a finance company despite pending RTO tax liabilities. Swift action ensured that all vehicles were intercepted and seized on the spot.
Authorities have made it clear that no further processing, sale, or release of these vehicles will be permitted until all outstanding taxes and dues are fully cleared. The move aims to curb illegal circulation of commercial vehicles and reinforce compliance with transport regulations.
Key officials including Motor Vehicle Inspectors Shalini Singh, Gautam Mishra, Tikam Madan, and Prabhat Ranjan played crucial roles in executing the operation efficiently.
The action was carried out under the directives of Transport Commissioner Purushottam Sharma and closely monitored by RTO Rajendra Singh Shekhawat. Officials emphasized that this is part of an ongoing statewide campaign to identify and penalize tax evaders.
