Jaipur Director Couple Creates History! Documentary Narrated by Amitabh Bachchan Wins National Film Award
A proud moment for Jaipur has arrived. A husband-wife duo from the Pink City has achieved something so remarkable that the entire state of Rajasthan is celebrating with pride.

At the prestigious 72nd National Film Awards, the documentary '75 Years of NDA', based on the glorious history of the National Defence Academy (NDA), has won the National Film Award in the 'Best Editing' category. What makes this achievement even more special is that the documentary has been directed by Jaipur-based Film Director Tanuj Bhatia along with his wife Tanuka Laghate.
Born and raised in Jaipur, Tanuj Bhatia completed his schooling from Seedling Modern High School. His passion for filmmaking and visual storytelling since childhood has now placed him among the country's celebrated documentary filmmakers.
So what makes this documentary stand out from the rest? The nearly 26-minute film beautifully captures NDA's 75 years of glorious history, rigorous military training, discipline, and the dedication of its cadets through powerful cinematic techniques. The film has been produced by Puneet Balan Studios, while its biggest highlight is the narration delivered in the powerful voice of megastar Amitabh Bachchan.
For the documentary's outstanding editing work, Editor Manveer Jasrotia has also been honoured with the National Film Award. The film beautifully blends rare archival footage, historical photographs, and real-life experiences with modern filmmaking techniques, earning widespread appreciation from audiences and critics alike.
