Ahead of the franchise's final instalment, Shriya Saran reflected on her character Nandini, saying the role will always remain close to her heart. She shared that the relationship between Nandini and Vijay has been written with great sensitivity, with Vijay standing by Nandini's side ever since an incident in the very first film. According to her, a recurring line that runs through the entire franchise beautifully captures Nandini's inner turmoil, fear and the constant dread of losing her family.
