Salman Khan's SVC63 Gets Bigger: Jackie Shroff Joins the Star Cast
A surprise entry has just been added to one of Bollywood's most-awaited action films, and fans are already buzzing about what role the veteran actor will play alongside Salman Khan.
Ananya soch: Jackie Shroff has officially joined the cast of director Vamshi Paidipally's upcoming film SVC63, starring Salman Khan and Nayanthara. The action entertainer is currently on the shooting floor and is being planned for a worldwide release around Eid 2027. According to sources, Jackie has already begun filming with Salman in Mumbai, and his character is being described as extremely crucial to the storyline. Interestingly, Jackie is not playing a negative role in the film, instead, his character is expected to play a key part in driving the narrative forward, with makers hinting that his scenes could draw a strong reaction from the audience.
The film's villain lineup is equally star-studded, featuring Rahul Dev and Abhimanyu Singh alongside Arvind Swami in negative roles. The makers are currently shooting the Indian schedule, which is expected to wrap up by the end of August.
Meanwhile, another big cinematic event is making headlines. Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayanam is gearing up to create a massive global record even before its release. The film is planned for release on nearly 9,000 screens in India and an additional 50,000 screens internationally, bringing its total global screen count to approximately 59,000, making it the biggest global theatrical release ever for an Indian film. The makers recently unveiled the film's English lip-sync trailer, offering a glimpse of its ambitious international rollout plan.
To put things in perspective, Pushpa 2: The Rule released on around 12,000-13,000 screens worldwide, while RRR had a footprint of about 10,000-11,000 screens globally. Ramayanam's proposed release scale is even drawing comparisons with major Hollywood titles, Avatar: The Way of Water reportedly released on nearly 52,000 screens.
To reach audiences across the globe, Ramayanam is set to release in 50 languages, powered by Namit Malhotra's DNEG-developed AI technology called Brahma AI. The film is scheduled to hit Indian theatres on November 8.
