Ananya soch: Glamour, emotions, applause, and a blockbuster surprise announcement — the second edition of the CineDreams International Film Festival Mumbai 2026 turned into one of the most talked-about entertainment events of the year. Held on May 14 at PVR LIDO Cinema, the grand award ceremony witnessed the presence of filmmakers, actors, directors, producers, writers, and technicians from India and abroad.
The evening began with an emotional tribute to legendary singer Asha Bhosle. Guests observed a two-minute silence in her memory before the National Anthem echoed through the packed auditorium, creating an atmosphere filled with pride and emotion.
Housefull Auditorium Reflects Festival’s Rising Craze
Audi No. 3 at PVR LIDO Cinema was completely packed, with several attendees standing throughout the ceremony due to overwhelming crowd enthusiasm. The excitement surrounding the second edition clearly reflected the growing popularity of the festival within the film industry.
Festival Director Parag Chhapekar welcomed the guests and thanked filmmakers for placing their trust in the CineDreams platform. Soon after, founder and organiser Ayub Khan delivered an emotional speech that received thunderous applause.
“You trusted this festival with your films and support. I will never allow that trust to break,” Ayub Khan said while acknowledging his team, board members, and jury members from Bollywood.
Bollywood Celebrities Add Glamour to the Mega Event
The award ceremony was hosted by anchor Shwetta Padda and Creative Director Saikat Das, who kept the audience engaged throughout the evening.
Several notable personalities attended the star-studded event, including Herachand Dand, Rais Ahmad, Anil Dubey, Aashit Chatterjee, and Rajeev Choudhary.
Celebrities like Sakshi Pradhan, Parleen Gill, Himanshu Malhotra, Mohit Malhotra, Pallavi Purohit, Sujoy Mukherjee and Rohit Bose Roy further elevated the glamour quotient of the evening.
Ayub Khan’s Surprise Announcement Becomes the Biggest Highlight
Just when the audience thought the night couldn’t get bigger, Ayub Khan made a stunning announcement that instantly grabbed attention across the entertainment circuit. He officially revealed the launch of the Cine Bengal International Film Festival, scheduled for November 25 and 26 in Kolkata at PVR Cinema.
He also shared that after the successful Lucknow International Film Festival, Cine Bengal would become the company’s third major international cinematic platform. Filmmakers worldwide were invited to submit feature films, short films, documentaries, OTT content, music albums, ad films, and independent singing videos.
The ceremony concluded with winners proudly receiving their trophies while celebrities and participants congratulated the entire CineDreams team for creating a memorable and successful cinematic celebration.
