-Resident Rajasthani (NRR) & Marwari community, a delegation led by Chief Minister of Rajasthan Bhajan Lal Sharma participated in ‘Rising Rajasthan’ Pravasi & Industrial Meet in Jharkhand capital city Ranchi today. This comes in the wake of the upcoming ‘Rising Rajasthan’ Global Investment Summit 2024 scheduled to be held on December 9, 10, 11 under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Sharma in the capital city Jaipur. The Chief Minister met prominent political leaders, community leaders and members from the Marwari business community and invited them to do business in Rajasthan.
The dignitaries, who participated in the meet, include Sanjay Seth, Union Minister of State for Defence, Shri Mahesh Poddar, Ex Rajya Sabha MP, Shri Ajay Maroo, Ex Rajya Sabha MP, Shri Samri Lal, MLA, Jharkhand Legislative Assembly, Shri Chandrashekhar Agarwal, Ex-Mayor of Dhanbad, Shri Sanjeev Vijayvargiya, Ex-Deputy Mayor of Ranchi, Shri Anurag Sharma, Chairman of CREDAI’s Rajasthan unit, other political leaders and business community members from the Marwari community.
Addressing the community members, Chief Minister Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma said, “The esteemed members of the Marwari and Non-Resident Rajasthani (NRR) community are an important pillar to make the upcoming ‘Rising Rajasthan’ Global Investment Summit 2024 a huge success. The business acumen and wealth generation capabilities of the community are respected world over. I exhort the business leaders and entrepreneurs to rekindle the connect with your native state of Rajasthan and become a part of its journey towards prosperity and economic resurgence.”
Addressing the gathering, Shri Sanjay Seth, Union Minister of State for Defence said, “I am proud and elated to see the outreach efforts of Hon’ble CM Rajasthan towards the Marwari and NRR community. The buzz created by the intense preparations and groundwork done by the Government of Rajasthan ahead of the investment summit is spreading far and wide. I exhort the members of the business community in Jharkhand to look at Rajasthan as a prospective and one of the most business-friendly jurisdictions.”
Earlier, Chief Minister Shri Sharma and other members of the State Government’s delegation were accorded a warm welcome at the Ranchi airport by the leaders of the non-resident Rajasthani and Marwari community of Jharkhand. Shri Mahesh Poddar, Ex Rajya Sabha MP, Shri Ajay Maroo, Ex Rajya Sabha MP, Shri Samri Lal, MLA, Jharkhand Legislative Assembly, Shri Kumar Lakhotia, Convenor of BJP's Migrant Cell (Rajasthan), Shri Krishna Kunal, Secretary of School Education, Government of Rajasthan, Shri Sandesh Nayak, Special Secretary to the Rajasthan Chief Minister, Shri Sidharth Sihag, Joint Secretary to the Rajasthan Chief Minister, Shri Dinesh Yadav, Deputy Development Commissioner of Ranchi and other officials were present on the occasion.
The outreach with the NRR community and welcoming the community members back to their native state, Rajasthan, to explore business opportunities is one of the central planks of the Government of Rajasthan’s investors’ outreach ahead of the ‘Rising Rajasthan’ Global Investment Summit 2024. Recently, a high-level delegation led by the Chief Minister had travelled to South Korea and Japan to partake in the investors’ meets organized in Seoul, Tokyo & Osaka where members of the NRR community had also been invited. Chief Minister Shri Sharma had appreciated the name and fame attained by the NRR community across different corners of the world during this meeting and invited them to become a part of the growth story of Rajasthan.
The Ranchi ‘Rising Rajasthan’ Pravasi and Industrial meet was organized by Rajasthan Foundation in cooperation with the Jharkhand Marwari Prantiya Sammelan.
