Rajasthan’s Road Revolution Gets a Massive Boost: CM Bhajanlal Sharma Approves ₹882.54 Crore for 137 Road Projects Across 30 Districts

Ananya soch: Rajasthan’s infrastructure development drive has gained significant momentum under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma. In a major step towards the timely implementation of Budget Announcements 2026, the state government has approved ₹882.54 crore for 137 Road Construction and Strengthening Projects across multiple districts. The tendering process for these projects is expected to begin shortly.

The decision is being seen as a major push towards strengthening Rajasthan’s road network and improving connectivity in both urban and rural regions. Officials said the government is working with a clear focus on fast-track execution and inter-departmental coordination to ensure that budget promises are translated into reality on the ground.

The approved projects will cover districts including Jaipur, Jodhpur, Alwar, Barmer, Balotra, Dausa, Dungarpur, Hanumangarh, Jhunjhunu, Karauli, Nagaur, Pali, Sawai Madhopur, Sikar, Churu, Jalore, Baran, Sri Ganganagar, Jhalawar, Bharatpur, Pratapgarh, Banswara, Khairthal-Tijara, Kotputli-Behror and Dholpur, among others.

Government sources believe that once completed, these projects will not only improve transportation facilities but also strengthen economic activity by enhancing connectivity between villages, towns, and major commercial hubs. Better roads are expected to reduce travel time, improve access to essential services, and create new opportunities for trade and employment.

The approval comes at a time when the state government is emphasizing rapid infrastructure growth as a key pillar of development. According to officials, every approved project has been aligned with the government’s broader vision of inclusive growth and regional development.

Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma has repeatedly stressed that every budget announcement should reach the last mile beneficiary within a fixed timeline. The approval of these projects is being viewed as another concrete step towards fulfilling that commitment.

As Rajasthan moves ahead with one of its largest road development initiatives in recent years, all eyes will now be on the speed of implementation and the transformative impact these projects could have on the state's development landscape.
