Jaipur Gears Up to Showcase Its Silver Legacy as Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla Invited to Inaugurate JSA Silver Show
Ananya soch: Jaipur's silver jewellery industry is set for a major boost as preparations gather pace for a grand showcase of craftsmanship and business. The Jaipur Silver Association (JSA) has extended an invitation to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla to be the chief guest at the inauguration of its upcoming silver show. Association officials travelled to Kota to personally hand over the invite and brief him on the event.
Meeting in Kota, Birla Praises the Initiative
JSA Chairman Ujjwal Derewala and Secretary Rahul Gangwal met Om Birla in Kota and formally invited him to inaugurate the JSA Silver Show, scheduled to be held at Birla Auditorium from November 22 to 24. Birla lauded the initiative, noting that Jaipur's silver jewellery enjoys a strong reputation across the country and abroad, and stressed the need to give further impetus to the local industry.
Speaker Bats for a Dedicated Silver Zone
During the discussion, Birla suggested that Jaipur should have a dedicated silver zone to support the industry's growth. According to him, such a zone would provide manufacturers, wholesalers, and artisans with better infrastructure and facilities under one roof, further strengthening the city's identity as a major silver trading hub.
Over 200 Exhibitors, 10,000-Plus Visitors Expected
The three-day expo is expected to draw more than 200 exhibitors from India and abroad, with organisers anticipating footfall of over 10,000 visitors. The event will feature the latest silver jewellery designs, new collections, and traditional craftsmanship, giving traders a first-hand look at evolving market trends.
Show Aims to Give Silver Trade a Global Platform
JSA Chairman Ujjwal Derewala said the show is designed to provide Jaipur's silver jewellery business with a global platform. Bringing manufacturers and wholesalers from across the country together, he noted, will open doors to fresh business networking and new trade opportunities. The meeting was also attended by Kota Sarafa Association's Anand Rathi and representatives from several other jewellers' associations.
