Innovation Ignites at UDGAM 2026: Students Pitch Ideas as Industry Leaders Converge at IITRAM
Ananya soch: The campus of Institute of Infrastructure, Technology, Research and Management came alive with innovation, collaboration, and forward-thinking ideas as it successfully hosted UDGAM 2026, its flagship Industry–Academia Conclave. The event transformed the institute into a dynamic platform where students, industry experts, and policymakers engaged in meaningful discussions about the future of technology, infrastructure, and digital transformation.
Known for its strong industry-aligned academic approach, IITRAM designed UDGAM as a powerful platform to bridge the gap between classroom knowledge and real-world industry challenges. The conclave was organized by the institute’s Career Development Centre (CDC) with support from Industrial Extension Bureau and Gujarat Informatics Limited, highlighting a strong collaboration between academia, government bodies, and industry leaders.
The event witnessed active participation from leading organizations including IBM, Tata Consultancy Services, Wonder Cement, Kalpataru Projects International Limited, eInfochips, and Deepak Group. Experts from these companies delivered thought-provoking keynote addresses and participated in panel discussions that explored themes such as digital transformation, sustainable infrastructure, manufacturing innovation, and the growing demand for future-ready professionals.
One of the most exciting highlights of UDGAM 2026 was the “Pitch Your Idea” competition. Student teams enthusiastically presented innovative solutions and entrepreneurial concepts before an expert jury panel. Their ideas reflected creativity, technical expertise, and a strong focus on solving real-world problems.
The winning teams not only received attractive rewards but also gained access to valuable mentorship opportunities from industry leaders, giving them a chance to refine their concepts and potentially transform them into impactful ventures.
The conclave saw participation from around 150 students representing nearly 10 institutes across Ahmedabad, making the event a vibrant meeting point for young innovators and industry mentors.
By the end of the event, UDGAM 2026 had successfully reinforced IITRAM’s commitment to nurturing innovation, strengthening industry partnerships, and empowering students with the exposure and opportunities needed to thrive in a rapidly evolving technological landscape.
