Ananya soch: The Rajasthan State Foundation Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Karnataka Lok Bhavan in Bengaluru on Sunday, marking a vibrant display of cultural pride and unity among the Rajasthani diaspora. Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma graced the occasion and emphasized the deeper significance of the day.
Addressing the gathering, Sharma stated that Rajasthan Foundation Day is not merely a date on the calendar but a symbol of the state’s eternal cultural heritage, rich folk traditions, and unity. Highlighting a key initiative by the state government, he noted that since last year, the Foundation Day is being celebrated according to the Indian lunar calendar—on Chaitra Shukla Pratipada—instead of the Gregorian date, reinforcing a stronger connection with traditional roots.
The Chief Minister lauded the role of Non-Resident Rajasthanis, describing them as true cultural ambassadors of the state. “Even while living far from their homeland, they continue to preserve and promote Rajasthan’s traditions and values,” he said. He further appreciated their active participation in initiatives like “Karmabhoomi se Janmabhoomi,” through which the diaspora contributes meaningfully to the development of their native land.
Sharma also highlighted the successful organization of the first Pravasi Rajasthani Day held in Jaipur on December 10, 2025, which brought together Rajasthanis from across India and abroad onto a unified platform. He urged the diaspora to actively participate in the upcoming Global Rajasthan AgriTech Meet scheduled from May 23 to 25, calling it a significant opportunity to boost innovation and investment in the agricultural sector.
The event witnessed the presence of Thawar Chand Gehlot along with a large number of Rajasthani expatriates. The celebration stood as a testament to the enduring bond between Rajasthan and its people, regardless of geographical distances.
