RGHS Sees Massive Expansion: ₹7200+ Crore Disbursed, Beneficiaries & Healthcare Network Surge Across Rajasthan

Ananya soch: Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, the Rajasthan Government Health Scheme (RGHS) has undergone a remarkable transformation, becoming more transparent, expansive, and efficient. Over the past two years, the state government has disbursed more than ₹7200 crore to hospitals and pharmacies, ensuring smoother operations and improved healthcare delivery.

Wider Coverage, More Beneficiaries

Medical Minister Gajendra Singh Khimsar highlighted that the scheme’s reach has significantly expanded. The number of beneficiaries has increased from 1.235 million to 1.361 million. Additionally, treatment packages have grown from 2,129 to 3,367, enabling coverage for a broader range of diseases and medical procedures.

Stronger Hospital & Pharmacy Network

To ensure quality healthcare access closer to people’s homes, the network of empaneled hospitals has increased from around 1,500 to 1,729. Similarly, pharmacies under the scheme have risen from 4,266 to 4,875, making medicines more accessible and strengthening last-mile healthcare delivery.

Faster & Transparent Payments

Principal Secretary Gayatri Rathore stated that the government has prioritized timely payments, ensuring financial stability for healthcare providers. A total of ₹7,225 crore has been disbursed during the current tenure—₹4,006 crore to hospitals and ₹3,219 crore to pharmacies. This marks a significant jump compared to ₹4,522 crore paid before December 2023.

Year-on-Year Growth in Disbursement

Annual payments have seen a sharp rise—from ₹364 crore in FY 2021-22 to ₹3,471 crore in FY 2024-25. In FY 2025-26 alone, nearly ₹3,000 crore has already been disbursed, reflecting consistency and strong financial flow within the scheme.

1.34 Lakh TIDs Generated in Just 3 Days

According to Rajasthan State Health Assurance Agency CEO Harjeelal Atal, over 1.34 lakh Transaction IDs (TIDs) were generated between March 25–27, 2026. More than 84,000 pensioners and 50,000 other beneficiaries availed services. Around 62,000 patients accessed OPD services, while 67,000 received cashless medicines. Thousands also benefited from IPD and daycare treatments.

Digital Reforms Strengthen Transparency

Additional CEO Dr. Nidhi Patel emphasized that digital transactions, real-time monitoring, and technological innovations have streamlined operations. These reforms have minimized irregularities and improved coordination among hospitals and pharmacies, making RGHS more robust and reliable.
