Rajasthan Trade Promotion Policy 2025 Launched: Online Applications Open for Retailers

Ananya soch: The Government of Rajasthan has officially opened online applications under the Rajasthan Trade Promotion Policy 2025, a landmark initiative aimed at strengthening the state’s retail and wholesale trade ecosystem. Announcing the rollout, Industry and Commerce Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore stated that traders can apply easily through their SSO ID or via e-Mitra centers.

Under the policy, retail traders will be eligible for loans of up to ₹2 crore, with the state government offering interest subsidies of up to 6 percent. Additionally, traders will receive up to 50 percent support on insurance premiums, along with several other financial incentives designed to reduce operational risks and encourage expansion.

The minister highlighted that, under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, this is the first comprehensive policy of its kind in Rajasthan focused on trade sector development. The initiative aims to empower small traders by providing them access to larger markets, e-commerce platforms, and modern logistics networks, ensuring a level playing field.

The policy is expected to benefit more than 1.05 million retail traders across the state. Designed in line with the rapidly expanding consumer market, it seeks to boost investments, generate employment, and facilitate easier access to finance and markets for small businesses. It will also play a crucial role in strengthening MSMEs in both retail and wholesale segments.

For new micro-enterprises, loans up to ₹1 crore will attract a 6 percent interest subsidy, while loans between ₹1 crore and ₹2 crore will receive a 4 percent subsidy. Women, SC, ST, and दिव्यांग (differently-abled) entrepreneurs will be eligible for an additional 1 percent interest subsidy on loans above ₹1 crore.

Furthermore, under the CGTMSE (Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for Micro and Small Enterprises) scheme, 50 percent of the guarantee fee for loans up to ₹5 crore will be reimbursed for five years. Micro enterprises will also receive 50 percent support on insurance premiums (up to ₹1 lakh annually) for five years.

To promote digital trade, the policy offers 75 percent reimbursement of e-commerce platform fees (up to ₹50,000) for one year, encouraging traders to adopt online business models.

Overall, the Rajasthan Trade Promotion Policy 2025 is being seen as a transformative step toward building a modern, competitive, and self-reliant trade ecosystem in the state.
