“The World Doesn’t Lack Resources, It Lacks Trust”: PM Modi’s Powerful G7 Speech Sends a Global Message from France
At G7 Summit 2026 in Evian, PM Narendra Modi Calls for Trusted Partnerships, Global Solidarity and a New Rules-Based World Order
Ananya soch: In a speech that could shape the future of global diplomacy, Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a strong message on Trust, International Partnerships and Global Solidarity at the G7 Summit 2026 in Evian, France. Addressing world leaders on the theme “Forging New Partnerships and Rebuilding International Solidarity,” PM Modi emphasized that the biggest challenge facing the world today is not a shortage of resources, but a shortage of trust.
Thanking French President Emmanuel Macron for hosting the summit, PM Modi highlighted how today’s world is more interconnected than ever before. He said Energy Security, Food Security, Health Security, Cyber Security and Economic Prosperity are no longer confined within national borders, making trusted partnerships essential for global progress.
“The most valuable strategic asset today is not technology, minerals or markets—it is trust,” PM Modi said, stressing that technology and global supply chains should serve humanity rather than become tools of geopolitical competition.
Referring to the lessons learned during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Prime Minister noted that global claims of solidarity were tested during the crisis. Quoting former US President Ronald Reagan’s famous phrase, “Trust but Verify,” he called for the creation of a trusted and transparent global order suited to the needs of future generations.
Highlighting India’s growing role in global development, PM Modi showcased initiatives such as the International Solar Alliance, Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure, Global Biofuels Alliance, Mission LiFE, and the Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam Campaign. He reiterated India’s commitment to the principle of “Humanity First,” recalling how the country supplied medicines and vaccines to more than 150 nations during the pandemic.
The Prime Minister also urged world powers to move beyond the traditional donor-recipient model and embrace equal partnerships, particularly with the Global South. He emphasized that nations seek participation, dignity, and collaboration—not dependency.
Concluding his address, PM Modi reaffirmed that lasting peace can only be achieved through Dialogue, Diplomacy and International Cooperation. He also called for secure maritime trade routes and the protection of seafarers, underlining India’s readiness to work with global partners for a peaceful and prosperous future.
