₹1.5 Crore Veterinary Hospital to Transform Animal Healthcare in Takhatgarh: Major Relief for Livestock Farmers

Ananya soch: In a significant boost to Animal Healthcare Infrastructure in Rajasthan, livestock farmers of Takhatgarh in the Sumerpur Assembly constituency received a major development gift on Sunday. Animal Husbandry and Dairy Minister Joraram Kumawat laid the foundation stone of a new Government Multi-Purpose Veterinary Hospital, which will be constructed at a cost of ₹1.5 crore.

The upcoming facility is expected to revolutionize veterinary services in the region by providing advanced medical care for livestock closer to home. Until the new building is completed, the hospital’s temporary office has been shifted to the Community Hall at Hanuman Gali, Gaugra Road, ensuring uninterrupted treatment services for animals.

The new hospital will feature a Modern Operation Theatre, Indoor and Outdoor Wards, Sonography, X-Ray Facilities, and scientific medicine storage systems. The project is expected to significantly improve the quality of veterinary care available to farmers and cattle owners across the area.

Addressing the foundation ceremony, Minister Kumawat said Rajasthan is the country’s second-largest Livestock State, and the livelihood of thousands of rural families depends directly on animal husbandry. He emphasized that the new veterinary hospital would serve as a lifeline for sick and injured animals while reducing the need for farmers to travel to district headquarters for specialized treatment.

The minister further revealed that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, the state government had approved a special package of ₹5 crore for strengthening veterinary hospitals in Sumerpur, Bali, and Takhatgarh. The new project is part of that broader initiative aimed at modernizing rural veterinary infrastructure.

“Our goal is to establish a strong Veterinary Healthcare Network at the Gram Panchayat level so that every animal receives timely and modern treatment,” Kumawat said.

The event witnessed the presence of local public representatives, community leaders, villagers, and a large number of livestock farmers, who welcomed the project as a game-changing step for the region’s rural economy and livestock welfare.
