Ananya soch: The Rajasthan International Centre (RIC) turned into a haven of nostalgia on Wednesday evening as it paid a heartfelt musical tribute to legendary playback singer Suman Kalyanpur. Titled "Mere Mehboob Na Jaa…", the concert was held at the Main Auditorium starting 6:30 p.m. and ran for nearly two and a quarter hours, featuring 22 unforgettable songs originally sung by the celebrated artist.

Renowned Mumbai vocalist Sanjeevani Bhelande enthralled the audience with soulful renditions of Suman Kalyanpur's evergreen classics, while young Mumbai-based singer Chirag Panchal added charm to the evening with several memorable duets. The concert opened on a nostalgic note with the title track "Chale Jaa Chale Jaa Chale Jaa…" from the 1968 film Jahan Pyar Mile, followed by fan favourites like "Apne Piya Ki Main To Bani Re Joganiya…" and "Na Tum Humein Jaano…".

The evening truly came alive as Sanjeevani and Chirag performed a string of beloved duets, including "Tumne Pukara Aur Hum Chale Aaye…", "Ajahun Na Aaye Balma…", and "Dil Ek Mandir Hai…". In a special tribute to Suman Kalyanpur's contribution to Rajasthani cinema, the duo also performed a memorable song from the 1963 Rajasthani hit film Baba Ramdev, much to the delight of the audience.

Adding a monsoon touch to the evening, the singers presented rain-themed melodies like "Garjat Barsat Sawan Aayo Re…" and "Sharabi Sharabi Yeh Sawan Ka Mausam…", immersing listeners in the season's charm. The Raksha Bandhan classic "Behna Ne Bhai Ki Kalai Se…" struck an emotional chord, while the concert reached its finale with the timeless "Rahein Na Rahein Hum, Mehka Karenge…" from the 1966 film Mamta, leaving the audience spellbound.

Adding depth to the performance was live musical accompaniment by Delhi's acclaimed band Do-Re-Mi, whose energy elevated the entire evening. The event concluded with the felicitation of both artists for their ouperformancesrformances.
