FICCI FLO Jaipur’s Grand Gala Ghoomar Show Pays Tribute to Rajasthan’s Timeless Cultural Heritage

Ananya soch: Under the visionary leadership of Dr. Rimmi Shekhawat, Chairperson of FICCI FLO Jaipur Chapter 2025–26, the city witnessed a magnificent celebration of Rajasthan’s vibrant folk culture through the Grand Gala Ghoomar Show at the prestigious Jaipur Club. The evening radiated elegance, harmony, and pride in Rajasthan’s centuries-old artistic traditions.

More than 100 women performers graced the stage with their enchanting rendition of the traditional Ghoomar, embodying the beauty, dignity, and strength of Rajasthani womanhood. The mesmerizing performance celebrated not just dance, but the very spirit of Rajasthan — its rhythm, colors, and cultural unity.

The workshop and grand performance were curated by the Gangaur Ghoomar Dance Academy, led by Jyothi D. Tommaar, senior disciple of Padma Shri Late H.H. Rajmata Goverdan Kumari. The academy, a recipient of the National Award, continues to play a pioneering role in preserving and promoting the authentic legacy of Ghoomar across India and beyond.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Rimmi Shekhawat shared,

Our aim is not merely to showcase this heritage, but to instill pride among younger generations. Every woman performing Ghoomar invokes the strength of her roots, her identity, and the eternal glory of Rajasthan.”

The Grand Gala Ghoomar Show beautifully reflected the essence of Rajasthan — unity in tradition, beauty in rhythm, and the collective responsibility to preserve heritage. The celebration stood as a reminder that culture is not only remembered, but joyously lived and passed on to generations to come.
